Quilting Rates
Square Inch Price
Edge to Edge:
We charge 1.5 cents per square inch for all E2E designs.
Example: A quilt top is 60 inches x 80 inches. 60 x 80 = 4800 x .015 = $72.

Custom Free-Hand:
We charge $30 per hour for all custom free-hand quilting.

Our minimum quilting charge is $30. This means that a small quilt or table runner's square inch price will be rounded up to the $30 minimum.
Batting
We use and stock my favorite Warm and Natural batting - Warm and Natural, Warm and White, and Soft and Bright.
Batting is a separate charge and is NOT included in the square inch price.
We charge for batting by the yard from king (124"), queen (90" wide) and baby (45") rolls of batting except in the case of special orders. We will use only what is needed for your quilt (smallest side + a 6" margin) and charge per yard.
For example, if you have a 60" x 80" quilt, we would cut 66" of the batting of your choice. 66" = 1.83
Warm and Natural Baby Roll - 45" wide @ $8.00/yard
Warm and Natural Queen Roll - 90" wide @ $12.00/yard
Warm and Natural King Roll - 124" wide @ $15.00/yard
Warm and White Queen Roll - 90" wide @ $13.00/yard
Soft and Bright Queen Roll - 90" wide @ $8.00/yard
Thread
We stock both Glide (#40 & #50 weight) and some So Fine (#50) threads. We don't charge any extra fees for thread use, it's included in your square inch price.
Our personal style attempts to match or blend thread color with the lighter areas of your quilt. But this is YOUR quilt! Let us know if you have a preference on thread color.

Shipping
Shipping your top and backing to me: I live in Indiana, USA, and would be happy to receive your top and backing by mail. I'd recommend sending your materials enclosed in some kind of sack or bag to protect against possible moisture in transit and then placed in a hard-sided cardboard box. Make sure the box is securely taped and labeled clearly.
Return shipping: I will send your quilt back to you in the manner described above via USPS Priority mail (using flat rate when possible/economical). Priority mail comes with $50 of insurance and a tracking number but please indicate on your intake form if you would like me to buy any additional insurance on your behalf. It's a great idea to insure your valuables against loss or damage while with the Postal Service, but I don't require it.
Other Costs
As mentioned above, batting is not included in the square inch price. I'm required by the State of Indiana to collect a 7% sales tax on the product portion of an invoice. The quilting services, shipping, and any design/pantograph fees are not subject to sales tax if outside the state of Indiana.
